受惠者叶进兴在两年前两度车祸后，行动不便无法工作，临老才回去投靠以拾荒维生的母亲，两人过着有一餐没一餐的日子至今。

《南洋报业基金》自2009年7月开始为她筹款，至今共筹获RM 18，693.00，并从当年5月，每月拨出 RM300给他们作为生活费。

至今，这笔义款已不足以维持她接下来的生活，因此希望社会人士慷慨解囊，踊跃捐助叶进兴和母亲的生活费。
