Thailand flood relief mission: The volunteers and reporters in Bangkok

The rescue team of Yayasan Nanyang Press mainly helped to send adequate supplies and resources to victims. They were brave and fearless in battling the worst flooding in decades. They were not afraid of any potential health threats such as skin diseases, fungal infections caused by the flood. Apart from that, they had to encounter dangerous animals such as crocodiles and poisonous snakes that may hide in the filthy water. Their courage spurred everyone on.
For example, Tor was a worker who immediately ceased his work and volunteered to help out in the relief effort. Due to the long hours of exposure to the filthy water, Tor was infected with skin disease. He refused to wear boots that especially ordered from China to protect the volunteers but Tor claimed that he wanted to save it for those who had not been infected with skin diseases.
